How to Root Nvidia Shield Tablet and Install CWM Recovery
Nvidia has launched the new members in the Shield family, including Shield tablet and Shield wireless controller. Designed by Nvidia, the Shield tablet is the first and foremost high-performance tablet running the most advanced mobile processor, Tegra K1 paired with 192 GPU cores.
Sporting an 8in full HD display, front-facing speakers and an optional cover that can used to protect screen as well as a kick-stand, the Shield tablet is designed especially for gamers.
As the tablet is based on Android software, it is open to custom modification. Gamers can now achieve root access and install custom recovery shared by recognised XDA developer, Unjustified Dev.

Step-1: Download Towelroot apk file. Head over to official Towelroot site and click on the Lambda icon to download [Alternate link]
Step-2: Copy the downloaded file to your device
Step-3: Navigate to Settings>> Security on your device and enable Unknown sources option
Step-4: Install tr.apk file
Step-5: Open the app drawer of the device and tap make it ra1n button

Step-6: When the tablet is rooted successfully, install Chainfire's SuperSU app

Step-8: Copy this file to the tablet
Step-9: Download Flashify app from Play Store
Step-10: Open the Flashify and flash CWM recovery file
