HTC One M7 Unlocked/Developer Versions Gets Sense 6 (5.11.1540.9) with Improvements and Bug Fixes
HTC has started seeding its latest Sense user interface version 6 for its 2013 flagship smartphone, HTC One M7.
In March, recognised XDA developer and Twitter leaker, LlabTooFeR, shared leaked roadmap suggesting the Sense 6 update plan for HTC handsets. According to the listing, HTC One (M7) was expected to receive Android 4.4.2 + Sens;e 6 update sometime around May-June.
Meanwhile, president of HTC America, John Mackenzie, confirmed on Twitter that Sense 6 will be pushed to HTC One users by the end of this month.
Last week, the Sprint variant of HTC One Max received Sense 6 update. Now HTC has started rolling out Sense 6 update for both the developer and unlocked versions of HTC One M7, reports XDA.
The Sense 6 software update with build number 5.11.1540.9 weighing 667.15MB is rolling out for HTC One. As the release note suggests, the update contains important enhancements and bug fixes. This includes, HTC Sense 6 update, colour-coded themes for easy navigation, personalised font style, addition of new Extreme Power Saving mode and a button to clear all recent apps.
Besides, the update brings various imaging experience improvements such as new interface for Gallery and Camera, Image Match to find photos faster and easier and support for Point of interest (POI) location in Map view. The Sense 6 update also integrates BlinkFeed improvements.
Those who have not yet received the OTA notification can navigate to Settings>> About phone>> Software update>> Check now to manually check for the update.
