HTC One M8 officially confirmed to get Android 5.1 with Sense 7 in August, M7 not confirmed

HTC One M8 owners are in for some great news as the company has officially confirmed via Twitter that the Android 5.1 update with Sense 7 UI has been scheduled for an August 2015 release in the UK.
In response to a fan query on Twitter, here is what HTC tweeted while breaking the news about the upcoming updates for its flagship smartphones:
@JKMcCloskey Hey James, the HTC One M8 will have a Software Update for Android Version 5.1 and Sense 7 in August 2015 :)
— HTC UK (@HTC_UK) April 29, 2015
@giorgi_alonso Hey Giorgi, the HTC One M8 and M9 will be getting 5.1 next. No other release dates have been confirmed :)

With still four months left for the scheduled official release of the update, it is anybody's guess that UK would be getting the update first, followed by the international versions and then the carrier specific US builds.
It is a known fact that the UK versions are identical to the international versions, while the carrier specific builds will undergo some local customisation and hence there will be a delay of few weeks in releasing the update.
@squishybytes Android 5.1 and Sense 7 will be released on the HTC One M8 in August 2015. Nothing has been confirmed with the HTC One M7 :)

Meanwhile, HTC has also clarified in response to a fan query that the One M7 is currently not confirmed to get the new Android 5.1 update.
