HTC Pushes Out Android 4.4.2 KitKat for HTC One in UK
KitKat update is available for unlocked HTC One, Vodafone, O2 and Three
The latest iteration of KitKat software version, 4.4.2 has started rolling out for HTC One users in the UK.
Keeping its word, HTC released Android 4.4.2 KitKat with build number 4.19.401.8, weighing 308.24MB for HTC One in some parts of Europe last month, reports Android Central. The update was hitting unlocked variants of the devices from Nordic countries.
HTC UK have taken to Twitter to confirm that the update is now available for HTC One users in the UK. Besides, the HTC Software Updates page suggests the Android KitKat update has been pushed for unlocked HTC One owners, Vodafone, O2 and Three customers in the UK. But the update status for EE is under 'Integration'.
Meanwhile, HTC One users in several western European countries such as France, Switzerland, Netherlands, UK, Greece and Spain have confirmed successful download and installation of the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update, reports HTC Source.
Those who have not received the OTA notification navigate to Settings>> About phone>> Software update>> Check now to manually check for the KitKat update.
The new KitKat software for HTC One adds NFC Tap & Pay feature, cloud printing, Bluetooth profiles from Android 4.4.2 and other minor fixes and security enhancements. Additionally, the update brings HTC Sense UI 5.5, which features enhancements to BlinkFeed, Video Highlights, camera improvement and keyboard that includes hundreds of emoji.
