HTC Roadmap leaks Revealing Android 4.4.2 KitKat Plan for HTC One/One Max/One Mini
Android 4.4.2 with Sense 6.0 for HTC One expected in late summer or autumn
A roadmap containing Android software upgrade for HTC devices leaked revealing the roll-out schedule.
The HTC roadmap has been shared by renowned Twitter leakstar and XDA contributor, LlabTooFeR.
The roadmap suggests Android 4.4.2 KitKat update with Sense UI v5.5 for HTC One (M7) is going through testing phases. The public release of the update will be sometime between late January and mid February. The Android 4.4.2 + Sense 5.5 update status and roll-out timeframe is same for a few One series devices such as HTC One dual-SIM (M7C), HTC One Max (T6), HTC One Mini (M4) .
Besides, Android 4.4.2 integrating Sense 5.5 for HTC Butterfly S and HTC Butterfly is also under testing. Both these devices will receive the update within March and April.
The roadmap also confirms Android 4.4.2 and Sense 5.5 for HTC Desire 601. The firmware is in its testing phase but there is no timeframe for the release. Similar is the case with Android 4.3 featuring Sense 5.0 for HTC Evo 4G LTE.
As for company's 2013 flagship model, the HTC One has been confirmed to get another Android 4.4.2 with new Sense UI v6.0 in either late summer or autumn. The update might have a different Android version.
Recently, French carrier SFR has confirmed that an Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OTA update is officially available. The confirmation comes after the carrier announced that it was preparing to deploy the Android 4.4.2. The update is currently for a limited number of HTC One users, but SFR notes that it will be available for other users across the world soon.
