Human Ken Doll Rodrigo Alves to remove six ribs because none of his suits fit
The 34-year-old revealed he has cancelled his Christmas party plans because he is stressed about his weight.
Rodrigo Alves, more popularly known as the Human Ken Doll, is planning to have six of his ribs removed to help improve his figure. The plastic surgery fan revealed that he is unhappy about the shape of his body and will go under the knife in the coming year.
The 34-year-old was expected to make appearances at a number of events around Christmas (including the launch of a new Bulgari hotel in Dubai), but turned them all down because he is worried he has put on weight.
"I have had to turn the invitations down because I don't feel happy with myself at moment," he said according to the Mirror. "I cancelled all my Christmas parties because none of my suits fit me, and I don't accept the fact that I would need to go a size bigger."
The Brazilian native who lives in London has undergone 51 surgeries and 103 cosmetic procedures, including 10 nose jobs, a butt lift, silicone chest implants, eight pack implants and hair implants. Overall, his cosmetic alterations have cost him close to £400,000.
Despite the intense work, Alves is concerned that his body is starting to return to its pre-surgery shape and plans to remedy the issue. However, he is unable to find a surgeon willing to remove more than four ribs.
"My bone structure is also getting bigger and I have taken the decision to do something about it and six of my ribs will be removed on the first week of January in Beverly Hills," he said. "Four of the ribs are floating ribs — there is no use or need for them and they can be easily removed. As for the other two I m trying to convince the surgeon to do it."
Alves has started a pre-surgery workout to strengthen his stomach muscles and wears a corset to prepare his body for the change.
The social media star recently visited India to undergo a detox treatment to help with his weight loss. While in the country he took time to see the sights and pose for a number of photos. "It has been a great trip — a combination of work (filming a Bollywood movie)," he told MailOnline. "This trip has also been very cultural and I shall look forward to returning to India to experience it all over again.
"This experience has made me realise that there is so much more to life than drinking champagne and going to parties," he said.
"I realise that I was living inside a bubble. I'm still going to carry on being the party lover Roddy, but with moderation. I will detox and meditate more often too, to align my mind, body and soul."
