Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2: Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss wages war against Capitol; trailer to release in July?
Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 is yet to premiere its full fledged trailer but new information about Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen hints at a powerful showdown between the former District 12 dweller and the Capitol leader President Snow.
The director of the hit franchise, Francis Lawrence, has revealed that the lead protagonist of the post apocalyptic movie will bring conclusion to the fan favourite series.
"Fans can finally see the conclusion of the series," director Lawrence said during the CinemaCon conference in Las Vegas on 23 April. "This one finally closes the story out. This is where we see Katniss (Lawrence) reignite and she goes to the Capitol. She goes to war."
The filming for the year's highly anticipated movie is still incomplete and Lawrence said that his crew is waiting for spring to shoot some important scenes.
"There's one scene that we need to still shoot, we had a horrible winter in Atlanta and we didn't get a spring in time, we needed greenery and we didn't get greenery, so we're going to go back sometime in late May and shoot one last scene," Lawrence explained during the conference.
While fans of the movie were waiting for the trailer to premiere during the release of Avengers Age of Ultron, the director refuted the rumours saying fans will get a glimpse of it during the Comic Con conference in July this year.
The 44-year-old movie director has praised the Oscar winning actress for her down to earth attitude during the movie production and said "I don't think she's really changed".
"I've been working on these films for 3 1/2 years now and she's really wonderful. She's an extremely talented person and very warm and fun to be around. Very down to earth, very silly. She's exactly the same now, so, she's fantastic."
Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 will be released in the Imax 3D format when it premieres on 20 November.
