CM Punk is a big name in the modern pro-wrestling era who quit WWE in 2014 to pursue a career in mixed martial arts. Unfortunately, the switch has not exactly panned out the way he had hoped.

The former WWE champion's debut in mixed martial arts was a bit of a disaster, with him losing his fight to rookie Mickey Gall at UFC 203.

Although he was interested in stepping into the octagon again despite his rough start, it hasn't happened so far.

While Punk's fans were hopeful that he would return to wrestling, his popularity saw him cast in a new MTV show called The Challenge: Champs vs. Pros instead.

His stint in the reality series did not last very long though, as he was eliminated in the fourth episode.

Now, with the series having ended for Punk, his fans are once again yearning for the wrestler to make a comeback.

And, it's not just the fans who want to see Punk wrestle again. WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle hopes to see Punk return as well, with the Olympic Hero saying as much in a recent interactive session on his Facebook page.

"I hope he comes back. I think his MMA career is over. He needs to go back to what he does best," the Monday Night Raw general manager said when asked by a fan asked about Punk coming back to pro-wrestling.
