Iggy Azalea and Nick Young breakup: Rapper ends relationship with NBA star following cheating scandal

Iggy Azalea has finally ended her relationship with Nick Young nearly three months after the NBA star's alleged cheating video surfaced online. The Australian rapper took to her Instagram account on Sunday to share the news of her split with her fans; which was soon followed with a post from Young simply stating that he was "Single."

Azalea shared on Instagram, "Unfortunately although I love Nick and have tried and tried to rebuild my trust in him — it's become apparent in the last few weeks I am unable to."

Despite the cheating controversy, the 26-year-old singer wrote, "I genuinely wish Nick the best. It's never easy to part ways with the person you planned your entire future with, but futures can be rewritten and as of today, mine is a blank page."

The Black Widow singer's relationship with Young had made headlines in March this year when a video was leaked online by the Lakers player's teammate D'Angelo Russell. According to a report in People magazine, the video featured the 31-year-old basketball player boasting about sleeping with other women despite being in a relationship with Azalea.

In fact, Young even addressed the cheating scandal during a post-game conference saying, "What happened is what happened." Irrespective of all the drama surrounding her relationship, the Pretty Girls hit-maker decided to stick to her beau, before she finally called it quits on 19 June citing trust issues.

Azalea got engaged to Young in June 2015, but the couple kept delaying their impending wedding due to time-commitments. "I'm planning my wedding, actually moved my wedding because I have to tour so my wedding plans are changing," she had earlier mentioned during an interview. She did, however, sport her yellow diamond engagement ring on the iHeartRadio Music Awards' red carpet.
