Bollywood stars graced the signature green carpet on Saturday 6 July in Macau, Hong Kong, at the 14th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards ceremony.
The three-day celebration of Bollywood was declared open by brand ambassador Abhishek Bachchanhich on Thursday 4 July. The event is the most eagerly anticipated date in the Indian film calendar, the Bollywood equivalent of Hollywood's Oscars ceremony.
At the awards, director Anurag Basu's film Barfi! bagged nine out of 14 awards, winning Best Film, Best Actor (Ranbir Kapoor), Best Director, Best Story, Best Music Director (Pritam), Best Sound Design (Shajith Koyeri) and Best Background Score (Pritam).
This year's IIFA awards marked 100 years of Indian cinema with a special celebration hosted by actors Shah Rukh Khan and Shahid Kapoor.
Bollywood's biggest, brightest stars including Deepika Padukone, Madhuri Dixit, Sridevi and Parineeti Chopra wowed the audience with their dance numbers.
Dancer and choreographer Prabhu Deva left the audience gasping with his stunning performance.
Actress Vidya Balan, who was recently seen dazzling on the red carpet at the 66th Cannes Film Festival, bagged the Best Actor (female) award for her role in Kahaani.
This is the second time the IIFA Awards have been held in Macau, the last being in 2009.
