I'm A Celebrity bosses in talks to kick 'bully' Dennis Wise off show
This year's show has not been short of scandals, with Jack Maynard being removed in the first week of the series.
Dennis Wise may be booted off I'm A Celebrity following claims he has been bullying fellow campmate Iain Lee, it has been reported.
Bosses of the ITV show, based in Australia, are "considering removing Dennis Wise from the jungle", according to The Mirror, after his comments to a distraught Lee infuriated viewers.
When he told Lee he was not good enough to do the Bushtucker Trial, one viewer wrote: "Opinion on Dennis wise has proper changed after catching up with I'm a celeb! What a absolute bully."
While another put: "Dennis Wise is a bully, a sympton of little man syndrome, should be removed from camp alongside Amir and Jamie, ITV do the right thing, Get rid of them, stand up to bullying".
A show insider said: "Producers have been holed up in meetings debating whether to reprimand Dennis or remove him altogether.
"They have a duty of care to all contestants they take very seriously."
The former Chelsea player, 50, told Lee ahead of the Tutankha-Doom trial: "My only problem and I'll be honest with you Iain, is that you've said 'Get Me Out Of Here' twice and what I don't want to do is we have no dinner and so...."
Lee, 44, responded with: "Ok but I also got 11 stars on one."
Wise didn't back down, telling him: "I get that but you've also said 'Get Me Out Of Here' twice out of the three you've done you failed..."
Prompting broadcaster Lee to say: "No, I failed one of them, the other was a challenge."
At no point did Wise own up to being wrong in the dispute, going on to reiterate: "If you come back with nothing everyone will be upset."
Lee replied: "I get it, you don't want me to do it, I withdraw my offer, does that mean I can do no Trials for the rest of the run then?
"Is that what you're saying, because that feels a little bit unfair?"
Wise said: "Well Iain, the problem is you've gone a couple of times and you've come back with nothing, so that causes me a slight issue."
Viewers at home couldn't control their anger, which may be the reason bosses are in talks of removing the star. Another person said: "Dennis Wise is a complete bully towards poor Ian. Stop".
While one more added: "Blimey, Dennis Wise is such a bully, hope he gets kicked out tonight. Just catching up on last nights #ImACeleb2017".
I'm A Celeb continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
