Spandau Ballet singer Tony Hadley is the latest campmate to be evicted from the I'm A Celebrity jungle. And despite becoming an unwitting target of Lady Colin Campbell's acerbic tongue, the 80s singer said he had "a brilliant time" on the show.
Speaking to Ant and Dec for his exit interview, he said: "In terms of the tasks, I was under pressure to redeem myself after the tongue challenge, but I had a great time. I've called myself Slender Tone - I've lost weight. People don't realise that it's real - there's no toilet, there's no pizza. It really is in the jungle. The experience is a grueling one and really pushes you to the limit, but I absolutely loved it."
Hadley was a target for the jungle aristocrat's vitriol after he pulled her up on her rude behaviour. A row over a beetle prompted her to launch into a foul-mouthed tirade at the singer and had outraged viewers accusing her of bullying.
She said: "Duncan [Bannatyne] is a vain old goat who can barely speak English, Tony [Hadley], the buffoon who doesn't have two thoughts in his head and Yvette [Fielding] who is just ridiculous and the public has already sussed that Brian [Friedman] lusts after the spotlight and they in their childish way, don't want to give it to him.
She added: "There are two elements in the camp and I wish to have nothing to do with them and I hope they wish to have nothing to do with me."
Lady C walked out of the show citing health problems and alleged that in fact she was the one being bullied and felt she had been driven out of the camp by Tony and Duncan. "There is no prospect of me ever having Tony or Duncan in my life in any way, shape or form...they will have to live with it," she said.
Commenting on his tempestuous relationship with Lady C, Hadley said: "'None of the decisions I made were about her. She just took everything so personally. When it came to refusing to be her servant [in a challenge], that was just because I don't wear bellboy hats very well. The Bushtucker Trials are good because they test your mettle, but that challenge was a little bit too humiliating - it wasn't like the real tasks."
While Hadley proffered a tempered response to Lady C, Duncan Bannatyne described her conduct as "unforgivable."

Meanwhile, Ant and Dec had time for some mischief of their own, when Dec pranked his Geordie best friend live on air. Ant McPartlin had been trying to avoid mentioning the fact that Tony Hadley had been a contestant on Celebrity Masterchef after a joke he made about the show fell flat.
Orchestrating it so that he mentioned the show again, an elated Declan Donnelly sprinted around the set high-fiving crew members, before running along the jungle bridge shouting: "We did it!"
The hilarious moment had fans on Twitter in raptures. One viewer wrote: "Oh my god!! That was hilarious. Dec's face! This could be the best show yet #imaceleb @antanddec."
