Overview
India have already won the ODI series after sealing their third consecutive victory in the ongoing series in Hyderabad. In the absence of MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli is leading the hosts and the right-handed top order batsman has so far done an impressive task.
With India already winning the five-match series, the world champions have made several changes to their squad as Shikhar Dhawan, Ravindra Jadeja, Amit Mishra, Wriddhiman Saha, Ishant Sharma, M Vijay, Varun Aaron, Mohammed Shami are all left out for the final two matches.
Opening batsman Rohit Sharma returns from injury while Robin Uthappa is also given a chance to prove his worth before the much awaited 2015 World Cup in Australia.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka will be hoping to avoid a series whitewash and another defeat would have a serious impact on their confidence. Angelo Mathews and his side will be looking for nothing less than a win when they take on India at Eden Gardens on Thursday.
