Indiana Tornado Survivor Toddler Taken off Life Support
A 15-month-old toddler who was found alive in her family's mobile home which was torn apart by a tornado on Friday has been taken off life support.
Angel Babcock was taken to Kosair children's hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, and was in critical condition with swelling to the brain.
Doctors made the decision to take her off life support because her eyes had stopped moving and there was almost no sign of brain activity.
Angel, of New Pekin, Indiana, was the last of her family to survive. Her father, mother and two siblings were found dead in the wake of the storm.
"Angel has been reunited with her parents," her grandfather, Jack Brough, said.
The death toll stands at 39 across five states and volunteers are scouring the damaged areas for survivors.
Almost 3,000 homes across Indiana are without power and phone signals have been lost.
