iOS 8.1.1 Untetheterd Jailbreak: How to Fix Errors in TaiG Jailbreak
Much ahead of Apple makes its new iOS 8.2 update public, which is currently in beta state, the TaiG team has released an untethered jailbreak, TaiG v1.0.1, which supports the aforementioned iOS beta software.
The jailbreak is compatible with the current and previous versions such as, iOS 8.0, iOS 8.1 and iOS 8.1.1 powered devices.
No sooner had the jailbreak tool been released than users were reported to have encountered errors in the TaiG jailbreak. Possible reasons behind the errors could be
- Find My iPhone is on
- Touch ID is enabled
- Passcode is enabled
- Missing internet connection on your iOS device
- iTunes not installed
Disable these three settings in the aforementioned list for a hassle-free jailbreak process. Also, note that iPhone 5 does not have a Touch ID sensor, but turn Find My iPhone and Passcode features off for the jailbreak process to work.
Navigate to Settings>> iCloud>> Find My iPhpne and disable Find My iPhone feature from there. You will get a prompt to enter your Apple ID password for disabling Find My iPhone setting.
Go to Settings>> Touch ID & Passcode to disable iPhone Unlock, which can be found under Use Touch ID For.
To turn the Passcode off, head over to Settings>> Touch ID & Passcode and scroll down to Turn Passcode Off option. Now disable it by clicking on the option.
Ensure that you have a stable internet connection and install the latest version of iTunes from here.
