iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus rumoured to feature Apple SIM and 2GB RAM
Speculation has begun regarding the next iPhone iteration. According to an Apple Insider report that quotes an internal source, the next iPhone 6 iteration will be termed the iPhone 6S and this edition is also expected to have a large-screen 'Plus' variant as well.
The Apple insider report also indicates multiple potential features, and prominent among these is 2GB RAM, which would double up on the 1GB RAM found in the current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Another potential feature could see the next-gen iPhones shipping with a pre-installed Apple SIM (universal SIM card). Apple SIM currently features in the iPad Air 2 that was released in October 2014 in the US and UK. With an Apple SIM pre-installed, users can choose from a list of available carrier options once the device is in hand, rather than having to sign-up with a particular operator's contract.
Other features of the rumoured iPhone 6S and iPhone 6 Plus are yet to surface, but these smartphones are speculated to get a 2015 release.
