Overview
Hyderabad will be roaring to go after having opened their account against the Delhi Daredevils after two back to back defeats against Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab in their opening two games.
The four-run win over Delhi will give them some much needed confidence for the rest of the campaign and keep aside their disappointments from the opening two games.
Aaron Finch(88) and David Warner(58) pulled the strings for Hyderabad as they put on a massive 128 run partnership to take the team to a massive score of 184.
Delhi put in a good performance with the bat but Hyderabad were able to restrict them to a score of 180, thus clinching two crucial points.
However, skipper Shikhar Dhawan will be concerned about their middle order, which has failed to click this series. Their bowling attack has fared better but failed to cope against the masterclass of Glenn Maxwell who hit them all over the park against Punjab.
Meanwhile, Chennai will be aiming for their fourth consecutive win in the IPL after losing to Punjab in their opening game. Victories against Delhi, Rajasthan and the Mumbai Indians have put them firmly in charge of the proceedings.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni's men have been brilliant with bat and ball in the last few games and will be looking to continue their prowess against Hyderabad.
Suresh Raina has been a revelation for Chennai, scoring in almost every game thus far for the runners-up of last season. Their bowling attack has been among the best in the tournament, with Mohit Sharma, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja being the pick of the lot.
