The 2016 Indian Premier League (IPL) player auction has come to an end with franchisees spending top dollar on the likes of Shane Watson, Chris Morris, Pawan Negi, Kevin Pietersen and Yuvraj Singh.

At the end of the auction for the ninth IPL season, players such as Shane Watson were the subject of the highest bids in the 2016 IPL auction.
