IPL 2016: Gujarat Lions vs Rising Pune Supergiants betting preview
It's the battle of the new franchises as the Gujarat Lions prepare to host the Rising Pune Supergiants in Rajkot on 14 April.
Suresh Raina's Gujarat side made a winning start to the season against the Kings XI Punjab, with Aaron Finch's 74 guiding them to a five-wicket win in Mohali on 11 April. They are backed at 19/20 by 888sport to win their first-ever home game.
The MS Dhoni-led Pune team outfoxed Mumbai Indians with the ball in their opening match, restricting the defending champions to just 121. Ajinkya Rahane made a fluent unbeaten 66 as the visitors chased down the target with ease. They are placed at 11/13 to make it two wins out of two.
Aaron Finch, the second-best batsman in the T20 rankings, is 9/2 to top score with the bat for the hosts. Brendon McCullum is at 11/2 while captain Raina is at 13/2.
Rahane is 5/1 to top the run charts for a second straight match for Pune, with Kevin Pietersen at 11/2 and Faf du Plessis at 13/2. Australia captain Steven Smith is priced at 15/2.
