Italy play Sweden in a group E fixture of the Euro 2016 clash at the Stadium Municipal, Toulouse in France on Friday (17 June).
Where to Watch Live
Kick-off is set for 2pm BST. Live coverage of the match will be ITV 1 and ITV 1 HD in the United Kingdom.
Overview
Italy come into the fixture having pulled off an upset of sorts over the highest ranked team in the tournament, Belgium. Sunderland reject Emanuele Giaccherini and Southampton's Graziano Pelle scored a goal each to help their side seal a brilliant 2-0 win over one of the favourites and establish themselves as a team to watch out for.
Manager Antonio Conte will be delighted with the response he has got from his men, despite having one of the weakest ensemble of players in a long time. The Azzurri are without their key midfielders Claudio Marchisio and Marco Verratti and would like to give a good account of themselves against Sweden who drew their last game against Republic of Ireland.
Meanwhile, this could well be an audition for the Premier League next season when Zlatan Ibrahimovic, should he transfer to Manchester United, squares up with incoming Chelsea manager Conte when he takes over next season. The 34-year-old Swede was influential in his team scoring the equaliser against Northern Ireland but was unable to find the winner, something he has to watch out for this time around.
