James Harden 'supports' Khloe Kardashian's decision to be with Lamar Odom

NBA star James Harden is apparently supportive of rumoured girlfriend American reality television star Khloe Kardashian's decision to be with estranged husband Lamar Odom. The 35-year-old athlete is undergoing treatment after he was found unconscious at the Love Ranch brothel on 13 October in Nevada.

"He is so nice and being as supportive as humanly possible given the situation," a source told People. "Lamar essentially has zero consistent family other than the Kardashians, and James understands that. The last thing he would want to do would be to add more stress to her plate."

Harden is reported to be keeping his distance from the 31-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star during this difficult time. The insider added: "He never had any intention of going to Vegas. He supports her of course, but understands she needs space and to be with Lamar."

Odom has been discharged from Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas and was shifted to a Los Angeles hospital. According to ESPN, the former NBA star was accompanied by Kardashian, who has been by his side throughout the ordeal.

Meanwhile, Odom's maternal aunt and godmother JaNean Mercer revealed he is showing some significant signs of improvement in his health. She said in a statement: "Lamar has always been blessed with a tenacious, fighting spirit, overcoming insurmountable obstacles to achieve the impossible. These past few days have been no different. ... [He is] defying the odds in his toughest battle to date."
