Hollywood Walk of Fame: Glee star Jane Lynch Recieves 2,505th Star
Glee star Jane Lynch has been honoured with the 2,505th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.
The 52-year-old actress, who was joined by the series creator Ryan Murphy and director Christopher Guest, looked stunning in a gray blazer, black shirt, and dark jeans.
"I am in the moment and experiencing it. It's really humbling and it also makes me feel very good about myself." she told On The Red Carpet after receiving the star, "I'm really touched that Chris Guest and Ryan Murphy came out here to speak on my behalf because when I met both of them in 1999, separately, I had a feeling if I stuck around them and if they let me hang out with them, good things would happen for me and they have."
Lynch also spoke about the sudden death of Glee co-star Cory Monteith and how the crew is shooting an episode that involves the death of his character Finn Hudson.
"Work is the best thing for grief," she told CBS news, "So we are working on this episode right now, the tribute to our quarterback, our Corey, who was not only quarterback of the football team, but of the Glee Club and I think it does him great justice."
This achievement comes after Lynch recently filed for divorce from psychologist Lara Embry.
"Lara and I have decided to end our marriage," she said in a statement in June, "This has been a difficult decision for us as we care very deeply about one another. We ask for privacy as we deal with this family matter."
The Two and a Half Men star met the 44-year-old at an event hosted by the National Center for Lesbian Rights four years ago. They were married in May of 2010, in the state of Massachusetts and have a registered domestic partnership in California. The two do not have children together but Lynch is stepmother to Embry's daughter Haden, from a previous relationship.
