Janet Jackson moves back to Los Angeles with son Eissa to prepare for US tour
Singer previously lived in the UK while married to Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana.
Janet Jackson is swapping the UK for her former hometown of Los Angeles as she continues to prepare for her anticipated State Of The World Tour.
The 51-year-old singer returned to the US with her six-month-old son Eissa earlier in July to spend some time in New York City. However, Jackson has now jetted over to the bright lights of LA where she is able to spend more time with her family, including mother Katherine Jackson.
A source told Entertainment Tonight: "Los Angeles has always been home for Janet and she is enjoying having her family so close. It's especially important to her because she wants her son to have a close relationship with her mother and family. Everyone is so happy to have her back home."
Getting back into the swing of her former life in the Californian city, Jackson was spotted enjoying a day out with Eissa, whom she shares with ex-husband Wissam Al Mana. On 18 July she was seen having lunch at the Ivy before indulging in a shopping trip on Robertson Boulevard.
Once the pair have settled into life in LA, the source reveals Jackson will resume preparations for her upcoming North American tour dates. The insider teases: "She will hit the stage with the passion and fire that her fans have come to expect from her when her tour starts on 7 September."
Jackson is going full steam ahead with her return to the stage and has reportedly adopted a strict fitness regime teamed with a clean-eating diet, which has allegedly seen her drop around 65 pounds.
The source also appears to confirm previous reports that Jackson will film a tour documentary. The Rhythm Nation singer is expected to capture all the action backstage at her performances while also documenting aspects of her life as a new mother. The Mirror previously claimed Jackson was shopping the film to Netflix and was in the process of negotiating a "big sum".
Jackson's State Of The World will launch at the Cajundome in Lafayette before moving to Houston, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Atlantic City and Atlanta among other cities.
