Janet Jackson shows off her baby bump in a rare public appearance in London
Jackson is expecting her first child with husband Wissam Al Mana.
Janet Jackson made a rare public appearance in London on Tuesday (27 September) since the news of her expecting first child with husband Wissam Al Mana broke out in May. The 50-year-old singer stepped out for baby shopping, with a visibly pregnant belly.
Entertainment Tonight reported that the singer, who has kept a low profile since pregnancy news became public, was spotted leaving one baby furniture store Back In Action. The mom-to-be kept her look casual with sweatpants, a black sweater, a scarf, a headband and a pair of sneakers.
An eyewitness told the publication that Jackson arrived at the store in a chauffeured black Mercedes along with her bodyguard, her assistant and two others from her entourage. According to the eyewitness, she also strolled the store and took an interest in one of the prams.
Jackson reportedly appeared in good spirits as she left the store with a bag of products and even cracked a smile as she made her way to her vehicle. Back in April, the singer postponed her Unbreakable World tour and announced that she and her husband are planning to start a family. In a video message to her fans posted on Twitter, she said, "We're in the second leg of the tour and there actually has been a sudden change. I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I'm going to have to delay the tour.
"Please, if you could try and understand that it's important that I do this now,' Jackson asked of her fans. I have to rest up, doctor's orders. But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can."
Jackson is yet to publicly address her pregnancy, while rumours suggest that she is expecting twins. Also, reports saying that her pregnancy is "high-risk" are making rounds on social media.
