Japan: Love Mario Kart? Now You Can See It in Real Life and Rent a Kart Yourself
Are you a big fan of Nintendo's Mario Kart video games on the Wii and 3DS? Well, you might be interested to watch these Japanese cosplayers bring Mario Kart characters to life on the roads of Tokyo.
The real-life Mario Kart drivers have been seen driving through the Tokyo districts of Shibuya and Harajuku, and are always happy to post for photos and ham it up for the cameras when they stop at traffic junctions.
You can choose to rent a go-kart yourself from akibakart as a new way to explore Tokyo, with prices starting from 2,700 yen (£15.52) for an hour to 10,800 yen for a whole day. The go-kart travels at 55km/hr and you can even choose to record your adventure on a Go-Pro camera installed on the front of the kart.
