Jay Z cheating on Beyonce rumours sparked by her Lemonade album
Beyonce's hour-long special Lemonade aired Saturday night and left fans wondering: did Jay Z cheat on Beyonce?
The HBO event was the debut of her visual album, now available on Tidal, packed with some creatively-shot music videos and some really harsh lyrics about a cheating partner. While famous musicians are inspired by real-life experiences, one thing's for sure: Beyonce and Jay Z are definitely still together, since her album is being streamed exclusively on his Tidal platform.
A large segment of the video focuses on Knowles singing about being a scorned women, whose man had been unfaithful towards her. Viewers at home assumed that the unfaithful man she's talking about is Jay Z, which caused the 46-year-old rapper to trend online.
Here are some of the breakdown of the lyrics that caused us to question the power couple.
- "Are you cheating on me?" she asks in Denial, where she's seen strolling through the streets with a baseball bat, out to smash anything she can.
- In Anger, she says if her man wants another woman, she'll "wear her skin over mine". Creepy, right? She also ends the song singing, "Tonight I'm f**king up all your s**t, boy. This is your final warning. You know I give you life. You try this s**t again, you gonna lose your wife!"
- "You can taste the dishonesty, it's on your breath," she purrs in Intuition.
- Serena Williams was also featured in Emptiness, where Bey says, "I ain't thinking about you, middle fingers up!" The song also kicks off with her saying, "Ashes to ashes, dust to side chicks."
On a positive note, Bey's father Matthew Knowles appears in the Accountability video with Blue Ivy, which shows father and daughter are still close.
But who actually know's what's going on behind closed doors with Bey and Jay Z? We wouldn't have known that Bey's sister Solange and Jay Z had fought in a lift, if a video of them hadn't leaked , so who actually knows whether Jay Z cheated?
