Jay-Z's secret birthday plans for Beyonce revealed

Jay-Z will be leaving no stone unturned for Beyonce's birthday. He is reportedly planning to throw an epic birthday bash for Queen B, who turns 36 on 4 September.

According to the Daily Star, the music mogul is looking to surprise his wife and their three children – Blue Ivy and twins Rumi and Sir Carter - with a cruise around the Mediterranean for her big day.

"It will be the couple's first holiday since Bey had the twins and it's also her birthday, so the timing couldn't have been better," a source told the news website.

"Jay-Z is not cutting corners when it comes to luxury, he's hiring out a yacht with their own private chef too, to cook some of the couple's favourite vegan dishes. They adore Europe and when they disembark they'll enjoy bike rides to take in the local culture."

The couple went on a similar yachting trip last year and it seems like the songstress enjoyed the Mediterranean. Her husband has invited "Kelly Rowland, Solange and Bey's mother Tina Knowles to join the intimate party".

Jay-Z will reportedly be taking his wife and their brood on the birthday cruise a day before Beyoncé's big day. The cruise around the Mediterranean will be the couple's first with their twins, who they welcomed on 14 June but officially announced their birth a month later.

Weeks after the birth of the twins, a source told Hollywood Life, "Beyonce is amazing, she is clocking hardly any sleep right now, but she's full of energy and life!"

"Most new moms of twins struggle to even function at this stage, but Beyonce is thriving. I mean, obviously it helps that she and JAY-Z have nannies and a bunch of staff, but she's still really hands on and she's breastfeeding, which means she's hardly getting a break rest wise — but then, Beyonce has always functioned best on less sleep than most of us mere mortals!"
