Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux unfazed by Brangelina split, spotted enjoying date in NYC

Jennifer Aniston was pictured in New York on Saturday (24 September) following the news of Angelina Jolie filing for divorce from Brad Pitt. The Horrible Bosses actress was spotted on a date with her husband Justin Theroux and friends at The Smile.

According to Us Weekly, the 47-year-old actress looked happy during the date night. Aniston was dressed in an all black ensemble, while her 45-year-old husband also sported an all-black outfit, which included a hoodie, jeans and boots.

Reports claimed that Aniston has been in New York with Theroux ever since Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt on 19 September. The Maleficent actress has requested sole physical custody of their six children: Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8.

The 41-year-old is also believed to have moved their children into a Malibu mansion.

Aniston's stay in the city is said to be a coincidence as Theroux was already in New York promoting his new film titled The Girl On The Train. But last week a source told Us Weekly that Aniston decided to fly from Los Angeles to New York after news about Jolie and Pitt's split surfaced. "She's being hounded so much that she's leaving town," the source said.

As Jolie and Pitt face prospects of a bitter legal battle ahead, the former has reportedly turned to Johnny Depp for support. The Daily Mail reports that the actress hired Depp's divorce lawyer Laura Wasser on his personal recommendation.

"Angelina idolised Johnny for years before she worked with him on The Tourist, and then the pair of them really hit it off on set. The two of them have stayed in touch ever since then, and spoke regularly during the storm that surrounded Johnny's break up with Amber," a source told The Sun. "They have been speaking about the situation, and Angelina hired Johnny's lawyer to represent her based on the advice that he has given her," the source added.

Jolie and Pitt got married in August 2014 after meeting on the sets of their 2005 film Mr & Mrs Smith.
