Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin: Couple spotted enjoying date night in New York amid breakup rumours

Jennifer Lawrence was spotted enjoying a date night with her boyfriend Chris Martin amid break-up rumours.

The couple reunited for a date night at the famed Tavern on the Green restaurant, in New York.

A source told E! News that Lawrence enjoyed a roast beef sandwich while the Coldplay singer ordered Eggs Benedict before heading out for a stroll in Central Park.

"They talked quietly and seemed very happy," the source said "After lunch, she was overheard saying she wanted to walk through Strawberry Fields. She went back to her SUV and got a heavier sweater and changed into more comfortable shoes."

The source added that Lawrence requested a centre table because "she wanted to face the park."

Fans tried to click some pictures of the couple but a bodyguard soon put a stop to it, said the insider.

Afterwards they returned to the Carlyle Hotel where they tried to hide and remain incognito.

Although the Hunger Games star has been busy filming her next movie, Joy, in Boston, a source told the magazine that she and Martin "communicate daily."

"They see each other when they can, yet each continues to do their own thing," a source close to the singer said. "Both have full plates, and they like it that way."

Previously, there were reports that Lawrence ditched Martin for Bradley Cooper, and that they are spending a lot of time together off screen.

"Everyone knows they have great chemistry... and their passion, which they've tried to hide, is undeniable," the source told OK Magazine.

"But they also have a lot in common, and they really make each other laugh."

The 40-year-old, who recently split from girlfriend Suki Waterhouse, reportedly left his younger girlfriend for his co-star. And though he broke it off before making things official with Jennifer, the pair had been secretly texting for some time now.

But going by Lawrence and Martin date nights, the rumours about her dating Cooper is obviously fake.
