Jennifer Lopez in Las Vegas: Salary, set list and everything you need to know about All I Have residency
Jenny will be swapping the block for the glitz and glamour of Sin City as Jennifer Lopez kicks off her 20-date Las Vegas residency tonight (20 January 2016). Following in the footsteps of the likes of Britney Spears, Cher and Celine Dion, J.Lo will hold court at Planet Hollywood's The Axis over 20 dates, singing her biggest hits and delivering an all-round entertaining show.
The 46-year-old, who will perform around three shows per week, has been putting in the work to ensure the residency launches without a hitch and was seen rehearsing on 18 January. With her mother Guadalupe, children Max and Emme and best friend Leah Remini watching from the front row, Lopez practiced the choreographed routine for her 2005 single Get Right with her backing dancers.
Speaking about the residency on The Ellen DeGeneres Show just days before her first night, the American Idol judge revealed: "We've been rehearsing every day since I did the AMAs [American Music Awards 2015]. We've been in there every day creating the show. It was being created before I got there, while I was doing Shades Of Blue, I was working on the music."
Although many would assume the competition would be fierce amongst the Vegas divas, Lopez says she is a fan of the residencies hosted by other singers, which include Spears and Mariah Carey. Lopez told DeGeneres: "I haven't spoken to anybody. I went and saw all the shows before I decided to do it. I wanted to see, get a vibe for what it would be like... I'm excited to share the whole thing with them."
No doubt seats will be filled for J.Lo's anticipated shows so here is all you need to know about her All I Have residency...
Salary
TMZ reports Lopez was offered $350,000 per show ,whereas Spears is earning $310,000 per night for performing at the same venue. However, Spears' Piece Of Me stint has already spanned two years compared to J.Lo's total set of 20 shows. Still, J.Lo's brief residency will earn her an estimated $26.8m.
Set list
It is yet to be confirmed which songs she will perform aside from Get Right which she rehearsed, but it is expected J.Lo will run through her biggest hits, including Jenny From The Block, Love Don't Cost A Thing, On The Floor, Waiting For Tonight and I'm Real.
Surprise guests
With a superstar as big as J.Lo headlining Vegas, there are bound to be some surprise guests along the way so speculation is rife some of her collaborators, such as Iggy Azalea, Pitbull, Fat Joe and French Montana could join her on stage.
Lopez's residency kicks off on 20 January and runs until 12 June 2016.
