Jenson Button and Jessica Michibata split year after marriage

Formula One ace Jenson Button has split from his wife, Argentine-Japanese fashion model Jessica Michibata. The former Formula 1 world champion had tied the knot with Michibata in a secret ceremony in Hawaii in December 2014.
"Jenson and Jessica have decided to go their separate ways and it is very amicable. There is no one else involved," a spokesman for Button said.
Michibata and Button first met in Tokyo in 2008. The pair called it quits in 2011, only to get back six months later.
Button had posted a message on 1 January on his Twitter account confirming their marriage. He wrote: "Happy New Year from Mr & Mrs Button!! We're excited to see in the New year with family and loved ones, we hope you're too!"

The lingerie model, who is regularly seen cheering and accompanying Button during the races, had previously opened up about her love for him. She said in 2009: "I know he is the one for me and he has told me I am the one for him. I hope he means it. We have been together for a year now and things are good."
The couple made headlines in August when they were burgled in their sleep while on a holiday in the south of France. The thieves stole more than £300,000 worth of belongings, including Michibata's £250,000 engagement ring.
