Jeremy McConnell admits to cheating on Stephanie Davis

Jeremy McConnell has admitted to cheating on Stephanie Davis. The Irish model was rumoured to have hooked up with a dancer following a public appearance in Newcastle on the first night after he left the Big Brother house.

The 23–year-old made the confession on RTE1's Today show today, explaining that he got carried away and the liaison with 19-year-old Caroline Pope 'just happened'. Attempting to explain his actions he said: "I went down to Newcastle, and I ended up with a girl that night. But this was before me and Steph finally got into a relationship. In my head, she had a boyfriend. We were going to talk when she got out, and that's just the honest truth," he insisted.

"Stephanie had her own issues, I was dealing with mine. I wanted to breathe when I got out the house. I didn't deny it, it just happened at the time".

Pope appeared to confirm that she did indeed get together with Jeremy in a series of exchanges with Stephanie on her Twitter, appearing to confront Caroline, the screenshot, which was promptly deleted, read: 'Is it true u slept with Jeremy, don't lie too me as Scott just said you did (sic)'.

"I don't want to be lied to anymore," Stephanie continued, before adding: "And don't lie to not hurt me. Be a girl to girl and tell me." "Girl to girl yes I did," the user responds. "I didn't want to cause any trouble as he made it clear he was single. I Hope you both get things sorted but I don't want to be dragged into it anymore hope you understand as I've had enough grief over social media (sic)."

It's been difficult to keep up with the relationship status of the on-off again couple, who three weeks after meeting in the Celebrity Big Brother house were making declarations of love and talking about marriage.

The 23-year-old actress faced criticism from her fellow housemates for flirting with the Irish model in the Celebrity Big Brother House, despite being in a long-term relationship with model Sam Reece. She later dumped Reece live on national TV.

After leaving the house, their rollercoaster relationship showed no signs of slowing down, with the pair caught in an almighty row at their hotel and later spotted together looking cosy in the Irish model's hometown of Dublin.

It's now the second time in the course of their volatile relationship that the pair have unfollowed each other on social media amid reports of relentless rows and infidelity. Stephanie has since escaped to Majorca, Spain as she dramatically declared she will "never love again" after her latest betrayal. However, she appeared to have quickly mended her broken heart, posting selfies and singing along in a video with friends.

Meanwhile, the tattooed model said he hasn't given up on Stephanie yet and is intent on winning her back. He added: "Steph is in Majorca at the moment. The way she's put it is she's split up with me. I love the girl to bits."

Wading into the relationship drama US reality star Tiffany Pollard has alleged that Jeremy was making moves on her. Speaking with Mirror Online, Tiffany said she isn't surprised by the latest break-up reports.

"I never thought that whole Stephanie and Jeremy thing would last," she admitted. "When I was at the final, he was grabbing my ass the whole time. I don't know if the cameras caught it or not but he was making no mistake about acting like a single man.

"I mean, he was literally grabbing my chunks and giving me hugs and just being really flirtatious. If my boyfriend was acting that way - well, he just wouldn't. I scare my men into being faithful. But Stephanie obviously didn't train him right and that's why it spiralled downhill," she explained. "Now, Jeremy is out having the time of his life and he deserves to!"

Tiffany went on to claim that Stephanie now regrets cheating on boyfriend Sam Reece to be with Jeremy. "She should have stayed with her boyfriend," Tiffany said. "I know that she is kicking herself in the ass over that because look how Jeremy did her in what ... three weeks? And he's already sleeping with other women.

"I feel bad for Stephanie but at the same time, I feel like she should have been smart enough to see this coming. These boys don't want you! Getting with Jeremy while she was in a relationship was a bad move. She made a horrible mistake."

"The way she did him was just dirty," Tiffany insisted. "She dragged his name through the mud, telling us how he cheated and never paid for things. But I didn't really believe any of it because when she first walked down the stairs, she was telling us that Sam was a dream boat. I hope Sam doesn't take her back. She doesn't deserve to be back in his arms. She deserves this."

Her claims have however, been dismissed as an attempt at publicity seeking. Stephanie's rep said: "We don't need to give this a response".
