Jerome Scott murder: Met Police charge teenager after man killed in Hackney home
Detectives has charged a man with the murder of Jerome Scott after he was found stabbed to death by a single blow to the chest at a home in Hackney, east London. Police from the Homicide and Major Crime Command charged Chevaughn Chin, 18, of Morning Lane, on Tuesday (20 October).
Officers were called to Morning Lane, Hackney, at about 10.15am on 18 October to reports a man had been stabbed inside a house there. Paramedics and air ambulance doctors fought to save him but he was pronounced dead shortly before 12pm. A post-mortem examination was carried out on 19 October at Poplar Mortuary and gave the cause of death as a stab wound to the chest. Chin will appear in custody at Thames Magistrates' Court on Wednesday (21 October).
