Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar: 19 Kids And Counting couple reportedly fighting over son Josh

The Duggar family seems to be basking in the success of their spinoff show Jill and Jessa Counting On, which premiered on 15 March on TLC. While the Duggar siblings appear to have moved on from the controversies related to the eldest Josh, parents Jim Bob and Michelle are reportedly struggling to cope up with their predicament.

The couple are reportedly fighting over Josh's family life with Anna and his four children after his return from a faith-based rehabilitation centre at Rockford, Illinois. "Jim Bob believes that Josh is completely cured, and Michelle, while she would never admit it publicly, understands why some family members don't want Josh around them or their children," a source told InTouch magazine. The fights between Jim Bob and Michelle are reportedly "splitting the family apart". Josh admitted to sexually molesting his sisters when he was a teenager, for which the evangelical Christian couple were severely criticised as they had apparently not taken up the issue seriously. They did not seek professional help for their son, but, took the challenge upon themselves of teaching Josh "right from wrong".

In a statement released in May 2015, Josh said that he confessed this to his parents who took several steps to help him and address the situation. "We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counselling."

Nonetheless, now it seems like the closely knit Duggar family are divided, especially after Josh returned from rehab. His wife Anna has already stated that she is "still trying to move on from the heartbreak".

"They [Jim Bob and Michelle] rarely argue, but this one was a doozy. He argued about putting family first and how Michelle needed to move on and put things in the past, and she stood her ground and said she was putting family first by being cautious. Michelle has actually raised her voice to Jim Bob, which never happens. It's gotten so bad that friends think this could destroy the marriage that no one ever thought could be broken," the source added.
