Jimi Mistry Weds Strictly Come Dancing Partner Flavia Cacace in London ceremony
Jimi Mistry has married Strictly Come Dancing star Flavia Cacace.
The 40-year-old actor tied the knot with the professional dancer on Sunday (29 December) at London's St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel.
The couple first met when Mistry was paired with the 34-year-old beauty in the 2010 series of the BBC dance competition.
Changing her surname on the social networking site from Cacace to Cacace-Mistry, the new bride posted a photograph from the wedding on Twitter, with the message: "Had the most amazing day with family & friends @StPancrasRen xxx (sic). Congratulations my darling !!xx."
The photo shows the newly-weds posing on the hotel's grand staircase, which was first made famous by the Spice Girls, who filmed their video for their debut track Wannabe at the hotel in 1996.
Friends of the couple and fellow dancers tweeted their messages about the lavish wedding. Ola Jordan wrote: "What a lovely Saturday! Seeing the amazing @FlaviaCace getting married to the gorgeous @JimiMistry Perfect for each other x."
While James Jordan said: "An amazing day yesterday seeing the beautiful @FlaviaCacace and the wonderful @JimiMistry get married. So happy to be at your special day."
Describing the relationship between them the Strictly star said: "I've had a unique life with my dancing, my whole life has revolved around it, so I didn't go through a 'normal' adolescence. Whereas Jimi has had a more normal life - university, drama school."
"He's quite a chilled person whereas I'm disciplined and hard working - probably too much. He's more, 'Let's have a weekend away'," she added.
Flavia previously dated fellow Strictly dancer Vincent Simone and her 2007 partner Matt Di Angelo.
Mistry, who currently stars in Coronation Street as fitness teacher of Dev Alahan, was previously married to Meg Leonard from 2001 to 2010.
The former couple have one daughter together, Elin Leonard Mistry, born in May 2001.
