Jordan Malutshi, 17, Dies After Being Stabbed at Reading’s Face Bar Club
A murder investigation has been launched following the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old at a club in Reading.
Jordan Malutshi, from London, was stabbed in the heart at The Face Bar in Chatham Street, Reading shortly before 04:00am on Sunday 2 June.
Malutshi was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital, but died of his injuries a short time later, Thames Valley Police confirmed.
A murder investigation has now been launched in what police are describing as an isolated incident.
Senior Investigating Officer Det Ch Insp Kevin Mahon, of the Major Crime Unit, said: "This was an isolated incident in which a young man needlessly lost his life.
"We have a team of detectives working on the case and are committed to carrying out a full and thorough investigation into the circumstances leading to this tragic incident.
"We know there were a large number of people in the Face Bar at the time of the incident and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has information which could assist our ongoing inquiry, to call us."
A post-mortem examination was carried out by a Home Office pathologist earlier this afternoon and established the cause of death as haemorrhage caused by a stab wound to the heart.
It is not known what area of London Malutshi is from.
Chatham Street, which was closed following the incident, has now been reopened to traffic.
