Justice League synopsis out: Batman and Wonder Woman recruit a team of meta-humans to save the planet
Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash will team up to save the planet in Justice League.
Warner Bros and DC Films has released the official synopsis for its upcoming movie, Justice League. The plot of the film will revolve around a newly-inspired Batman teaming up with Wonder Woman to recruit a team of meta-humans to save the world from an impending catastrophic assault.
Warning: Potential spoilers about Justice League movie plot ahead
Here is the full synopsis released by the studio:
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of meta-humans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes — Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash — it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
The movie will pick up from where Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice concluded. Following an emotional burial of Superman, Batman approached Wonder Woman and told her that they needed to unite the other meta-humans to deal with other potential threats. In other words, Batman became the founding member of the Justice League in DC's movies.
In Dawn Of Justice, Superman died fighting Doomsday, but the last scene of the movie hinted at his potential resurrection in Justice League. We saw that the dirt began to rise off Superman/Clark Kent's coffin in a nod to the anti-gravity effect we saw when he first learned to fly in Man Of Steel.
Justice League will also introduce superheroes like The Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher). Reports claim that the main villain in Justice League will be Darkseid, as hinted by Lex Luthor in Dawn Of Justice.
Fans are in for a special treat at the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con as Ben Affleck has confirmed the Justice League team will attend the event in July. We can expect some kind of footage from Justice League or even an official poster at the event. The Zack Snyder-movie is currently in the filming stage and is slated to be released on 17 November 2017.
