Kanye West deletes his social media accounts ahead of children's clothing line launch
The rapper has stirred multiple controversies through his Twitter and Instagram accounts in the past.
Kanye West has done the unpredictable again. The rapper has deleted his social media accounts on Friday night, 5 May, without giving any warning.
However, while fans remained puzzled by the Life Of Pablo hitmaker's sudden move, life goes on as usual at the Kardashian-West family, with the couple launching their affordable children's clothing line Calabasas on 5 May. His surprising action came days after his wife and celebrity Kim Kardashian appeared solo on the Met Gala red carpet.
Kanye may be focussing on his family and professional goals as he has shut himself off social media, where he is infamous for his constant rants. His wife, on the other hand, is reportedly working on balancing her personal life and keeps her fans updated by sharing family pictures.
The 36-year-old reality star has previously praised her husband for the handwritten logo of their clothing line and tweeted: 'Kanye hand drew our KIDS logo.'
A source told People magazine that the celebrity couple are "in a great place". While Kanye "couldn't stop talking" about the mother of his two children, his wife keeps gushing about her loving family on social media. "They are just so happy. He's doing really great," the source told the website.
The couple went through a rough patch in the second half of 2016, when Kim had to deal with the aftermath of the Paris robbery and Kanye was recovering from his emotional breakdown. "They went through a really rough time there for awhile. It was really touch and go. She was dealing with the robbery and all that came after, and she felt like he wasn't there for her. He was going through his issues around the holidays, and he felt like she wasn't prioritising him," another source told People.
