Kate Middleton is Voted the UK's Number 1 Beauty Icon for the Third Time
Kate Middleton: The Future Queen is Named Favourite British Beauty
Kate Middleton has been voted the UK's number one beauty icon.
In a poll of 2000 British women, the Duchess of Cambridge beat off competition from pop stars, TV presenters, catwalk models and even Hollywood royalty to take the title.
The 32-year-old, who is famed for her slender figure, her glossy brunette locks and her natural beauty, has won the accolade for the third consecutive year.
The future Queen and new mother continues to turn heads, whether showcasing stylish British designer wear or modelling high street favourites.
Only five months after giving birth Kate wowed onlookers as she took to the red carpet for a royal premiere, showing off her stunning figure in a white, floor-skimming evening gown by French designer Roland Mouret, which was slashed to the thigh.
Close on Kate's high class heels was This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby and in third positon in the poll, pop star Beyonce. Strictly Come Dancing winner Abbey Clancy and Cheryl Cole made up the top five contenders for the title.
A popular British beauty, Girls Aloud star Cole remains a favourite of British women, despite the recent and extensive tattoo work on her otherwise perfect posterior, which won her a mixed reaction when it was first unveiled.
Hollywood humanitarian and movie star Angelina Jolie was voted the sixth top beauty icon of the year. Jolie this year was applauded for her courage as she made public her decision to have a double mastectomy.
Sultry X Factor judge, Nicole Scherzinger won seventh place, having wowed audiences with her sartorial successes and stunning looks on the last series of the reality TV show. Meanwhile, Rolling in the Deep singer Adele leapt from 14th to 8th place.
Famed for her slim frame and contemporary style, fashion designer Victoria Beckham was in ninth place, while British model of the moment Cara Delevigne took the number ten spot.
Showing age is no barrier to beauty, the unofficial poster girl for the older woman, and still sexy at 68, Helen Mirren beat women half her age to make it into 11th place
Bond star Dame Judi Dench came in at number 32, while the always flamboyant Sharon Osbourne took the 48th spot in the poll.
Model Amy Willerton was a new entry in the top 50 beauty icons, coming in at number 39 following her appearance on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! The former Miss Great Britain won the support of women everywhere, after she appeared to be the focus of jealousy in the camp.
But it seems Kate Middleton is the woman we most admire for her looks, and who we wish to emulate. Sophisticated, simple and stylish, it's her effortless beauty and her natural charm that has won her both the beauty queen crown, and quite evidently, the prince's heart.
