Kate Plus 8 premiere: Kate Gosselin struggles with teen children; goes on blind date
Kate Gosselin and her eight children will be back on TLC for a full season revealing the challenges faced by the Gosselin family as the twins and the sextuplets are all grown up. The popular show, which was last aired in 2011, will focus on the mother-of-eight who divorced husband Jon in 2009.
In the promo of the upcoming season, the 40-year-old reality star reveals that the family is having a 'party of a lifetime' after they shifted to their new abode. However, the mother of 15-year-old twins Mady and Cara and 11-year-old sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Joel, Leah, Alexis, and Hannah is struggling with her teen children and the task doesn't look any easier for her.
Apart from dealing with her huge family, the single mother is dating again. The promo shows her blind date being anything but romantic. The couple go for dinner followed by a spectacular helicopter ride over Manhattan city. But, it looks like she was unable to end the date 'properly' with her just saying a bland 'goodnight' while boarding the cab after dinner.
The synopsis for the latest season of the popular show reads: "Kate wants to finally start dating again, so with the kids in mind, she makes sure everyone supports this next step, but even with the kids on board, Kate's unsure of how her blind date will turn out."
In 2011, the show was cancelled by TLC after it completed 150 episodes but the network kept bringing back specials offering sneak peeks into the Gosselin family. Kate Plus 8 premieres on 8 December on TLC network.
