Katy Perry Debuts with Blue Hair: First Red Carpet Appearance Post Russell Brand Split

Katy Perry looked happy and stunning in her first social appearance since the split with Russell Brand at an event to support the earthquake-ravaged Haiti.

At the Las Vegas event, Perry appeared in blue hair and joined her jewellery designer Markus Molinari at the GiveLove charity.

She tweeted: "Thanks to everyone who helped out w/the @ givelove event at Mirage & 1 Oak LV. Go to http://www.givelove.org to see how u can MAKE a difference!"

Earlier, Perry did not turn up at the People's Choice Awards on January 11, which was supposed to be her first public appearance after the divorce. Perry and Brand divorced over "irreconcilable differences" after a 14-month marriage.

The "I Kissed A Girl" singer tweeted on January 10: "Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the People's Choice Awards. I want to thank u all for voting for me, fingers crossed!"

The event, held at the 1 OAK club in the Mirage Hotel, was also attended by other socialites like Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton, David Arquette and Shenae Grimes.

Paris Hilton tweeted: "@ KatyPerry looking gorgeous across the room. Love her hair & dress! #Stunning!"

Perry was seen in a short black cocktail dress with metal studs on it. She came wearing high-heeled sandals electrifying the occasion with her blue hair, the Metro.co.uk has reported.
