Kettle Chips recalled from supermarkets as bags pose 'possible risk to health'

Five varieties of Kettle Chips are being recalled because of fears the products may contain pieces of plastic. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) said: "This means these products are a possible risk to health."
The five varieties listed for recall are Lightly Salted 150g; Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar 40g; Mature Cheddar & Red Onion 40g; Lightly Salted Multipack (5 x 30g) and Lightly Salted 30g. All of the recalled varieties carry the best before date 28 May 2016.
Kettle Foods Ltd. said they had "identified that a very limited number of bags of KETTLE® Chips products, all with a best before date of 28th May 2016, may contain pieces of plastic that are similar in appearance to the crisps."
"As a precautionary measure, we are asking customers not to eat the product and to contact us for a full refund."
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank our customers in advance for their cooperation."
The FSA gave this advice to customers who may have been affected:
"If you have bought one of the above products, do not eat it. Instead, post the empty pack, together with your name and address to Kettle Foods Ltd at:
Kettle Foods Ltd
Barnard Road
Norwich
NR5 9JP"
Kettle Foods also said customers looking for more information can call the free phone number: 0800 616996.
