Kiss marks the spot: Amber Heard confirms relationship with Elon Musk with cheeky Instagram photo

The grapevine has been abuzz for the past nine months regarding Amber Heard and Elon Musk dating following her messy divorce from Johnny Depp. After keeping things under wraps all these months, the couple finally made a public appearance together in Australia on 23 April.

The actress, who is currently in the land down under, filming for Aquaman, spent her Sunday with Musk and two of his six children. The group visited Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary with the couple strolling arm-in-arm through the reserve. According to People magazine, they also took part in the TreeTop Challenge zip lining ropes courses.

If being spotted together that day was not enough to confirm the rumours, the 31-year-old Justice League star also shared a photo on Instagram of the two at a restaurant that same evening. In the post, an imprint of Heard's lips in her dark red lipstick can be seen on the 45-year-old Tesla founder's cheek. The actress simply captioned the photo as "Cheeky".

The weekend sighting and Insta-post were enough to put any doubts to rest that the two were dating. Despite attending a screening of Al Gore's An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power together in March, a number of sources close to the couple stressed that the two were just friends.

While Heard and Musk are yet to comment on the relationship, the actress' father hinted that she would be interested in marrying again. "Amber and Elon are both very serious about each other," David Heard told Grazia magazine. "One of the things they want to do is settle down and have a family. They are making plans for that."

The Rum Diaries star's divorce from Depp was finalised in January after a very messy public battle, which included allegations that the Pirates Of The Caribbean actor physically abused her.
