'Ladies, watch out for those guns': Stephen Colbert man-spreads for sexy InStyle photoshoot

Stephen Colbert is the walking-talking example of how smart is sexy. So imagine our shock when we saw his photos from the September issue shoot for InStyle magazine. The Late Show's twitter account shared some of the images which showcase a whole new side to Colbert.

Editor-in-chief Laura Brown decided to feature the funny man in the magazine's regular Man of Style column with a series of questions about his recent Russia trip, first celebrity crush (Racheal Welsch and Liza Manelli) and how he kisses (hastily...experimentally...eagerly).

While the host talks about putting on 15lbs in the Trump era, suffering a nervous breakdown in his late 20s and his show's impact on audiences, it is almost too hard to keep one's eyes from wandering back to the photos.

One image features Colbert sporting a 'ripped abs' tee with rolled sleeves and washed jeans that seriously breaks away from his typical on-camera style of suits and ties.

For those who prefer him more formally dressed, there is the collection of images of suit-wearing Colbert, only this time around the people from the style department decided they wanted to see more skin and cut off the suit jacket and shirt sleeves. A pair of scissors were also taken to the pants, showing off the 53-year-old's legs.

Fans of the host of the upcoming 2017 Emmy Awards seemed more than happy to get a glimpse of more Colbert and gushed about how sexy he looked.
