Lady Gaga Set to Marry Zero Dark Thirty Actor Taylor Kinney

Lady Gaga is getting hitched this summer to her long-time boyfriend Zero Dark Thirty movie actor Taylor Kinney.

One of the pop star's closest friends, DJ Lady Starlight, has revealed that the Bad Romance singer told her that Kinney is the match of her dreams.

She also said that Gaga is recovering from recent hip surgery in Chicago, where Kinney is shooting his US TV series Chicago Fire.

Starlight also added that an announcement could be made soon, as there is a window this summer when Kinney's shooting schedule will be clear and her concert and studio commitments will be minimal.

"They were made for each other. At first I thought he was too hot to be cool but now I think he's totally ­awesome," DJ Starlight told the Daily Star.

She added: "From all I've heard, I don't think I'm dropping a secret by saying they are ready to get hitched this year."

The couple have been dating since September 2011.

Earlier this year, the singer splashed out over £40,000 on Koi carp. The ornamental Japanese fish appeared to Gaga in a dream, and this convinced her to purchase them.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Gaga said she'd had a dream about the fish so she had her team source some koi and set up a massive tank.

"The whole exercise cost over £40,000, which is a lot to most people but small change to her."

Lady Gaga is named on the FORBES 2012's list of the Most Powerful Celebrities, and has raked in £35million over the past year.

In addition to the platinum success of her latest album, and the launch of her own social network, Gaga focused on philanthropic work in 2012.

The singer's outrageous style is always a headline grabber, and she is best known for the controversial meat dress she wore to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.

When Gaga wore the dress, she was accompanied by US soldiers impacted by the "don't ask, don't tell" policy to protest the ban on gays serving openly in the military. She explained that if people don't stand up for their rights, "pretty soon we're going to have as much rights as the meat on our own bones. And, I am not a piece of meat."

The dress, now dried, preserved and painted to restore its original raw meat colour, is on display at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in New York.
