Lamar Odom vows to give up drugs as he and Khloe Kardashian are reunited

Khloe Kardashian has revealed that she called off divorce proceedings with Lamar Odom, after he vowed to never take drugs again. The former NBA star was in a coma for three days after a drug and sex fuelled binge at a brothel in Nevada.

He and Khloe were separated since 2012, however on hearing of his condition she rushed to be at his bedside. After making a miraculous recovery, he has now convinced his estranged wife that his terrifying ordeal has prompted him to change his ways.

The 35-year-old reportedly felt indebted to the reality TV star who kept a vigil by his side and nursed him back to health and has thanked her profusely for her unwavering support. According to TMZ, sources told the site that he had said: "I am done with drugs."

The 31-year-old had filed for divorce in December 2013 after four years of marriage citing irreconcilable differences. However, the couple only began divorce proceedings officially in July this year. Due to a backlog in the Los Angeles court, the divorce was never finalised. Still legally his wife, Khloe was given responsibility to make decisions regarding Odom's medical care.

Khloe's lawyer, Laura Wasser, appeared before a Los Angeles judge on Wednesday (22 October) to withdraw the papers. The request to halt their divorce was approved.

While the former couple now appear to be reconciled it has been reported that Odom's condition is still precarious. "Lamar isn't doing that well,"' a source told Us Weekly. "He can't stand up by himself. (Khloe) is still very worried about him and uncomfortable with leaving."

According to People a source said: "Lamar still can't stand up alone. He has to be helped to a chair right by his bed. He is receiving antibiotics for a respiratory infection. He is also still receiving dialysis."

It has been reported that the pro basketball player who moved this week from Nevada to Los Angeles to continue his recovery, suffered severe kidney damage during his £75,000 four-day bender. While he faces a long road to recovery, he now at least has his wife by his side.
