Leighton Baines Pulls Out of England Squad for Slovenia and Scotland Games
Leighton Baines has pulled out of the England squad ahead of games against Slovenia and Scotland due to injury.
The Everton full back picked up a knock in a training session at St George's Park on Friday morning ahead of Saturday's European Championship qualifier and has returned to his club for treatment.
His departure leaves Arsenal's Kieran Gibbs in line to start in both games.
Manchester United's Luke Shaw was also named in Roy Hodgson's original 26-man squad but was not included in the final 23 for the visit of Slovenia.
Michael Carrick and Tottenham Hotspur winger Andros Townsend has also withdrawn with respective groin and ankle problems this week.
