Overview
The Masters Champions League, started by Pakistan-born cricket enthusiast and entrepreneur Zafar Shah, will give an opportunity for fans of the game to watch the legends get back on the pitch for a T20 spectacle. There are six teams participating in the tournament and they are named after zodiac signs. The matches will be held in the United Arab Emirates.
After the end of five matches, the top four teams will make it to the semi-finals, who will then fight for a place in the final in Dubai on 13 February. The first fixture will be between the Libra Legends and the Gemini Arabians, who will be led by Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag respectively.
The Legends have the services of star players like Jacques Kallis, Graeme Swann, Nicky Boje and Ryan ten Doeschate. While their opponents boast of former star players like Kumar Sangakkara, Muttiah Muralitharan, Sehwag and Saqlain Mushtaq in their squad.
