After formal training for Barcelona's La Liga match against Sporting de Gijon on 15 February, Lionel Messi astounded singer-songwriter Eros Ramazzotti with his goal-scoring skills. The Italian musician, who had performed in Barcelona on 14 February, joined Messi, Andres Iniesta, Sergio Busquets and head coach Luis Enrique for a kickabout, and suggested Messi shoot at a nearby goal – which had its goalmouth facing away from them.
Messi hit a left-footed curling shot, which bounced in front of the goal with enough swerve to land neatly in the net. Ramazzotti lifted the Argentine off his feet while the others congratulated him.
