Premier League as it happened: Southampton 0-2 Liverpool, Tottenham 2-2 West Ham, Everton 2-2 Leicester
- Tottenham 2-2 West Ham FT
- Everton 2-2 Leicester FT
- Southampton 0-2 Liverpool FT
6:07pm: And that's a wrap. Liverpool weren't the best team on the pitch but they edged the result they needed to put some serious pressure on Manchester United and Arsenal in the top four. Meanwhile, Southampton will be disappointed not to have capitalised on their dominance during the game and now stay in fifth place. Thanks for joining us.
6:06pm: Eljero Elia gets a late yellow card for a bad foul.
6:04pm: Time is ticking and both Maya Yoshida and Dusan Tadic have shots blocked for Southampton...
6:02pm: Four minutes of extra time at St Mary's. Can Southampton make this interesting?
6:01pm: Daniel Sturridge has an attempt on goal saved and not long after Graziano Pelle is ruled offside - it's not over for Southampton yet.
5:58pm: Conditions aren't great right now - in fact they played a big part in that second goal - and while Glen Johnson looked to be hurt after a challenge Jordan Henderson also slipped in the rain and threw an elbow Eljero Elia's way in the process.
5:56pm: The fight for a top four place is getting very tricky indeed and if this game ends with a win for Liverpool there will be three points separating sixth from third place. Southampton have really blown a chance to go to third today and it will be an uphill battle to stay in the fight for Champions League football after this.
5:53pm: That's two goals from two shots on target for Liverpool but Southampton have responded well with Alberto Moreno going in the ref's book for a bad tackle and Dusan Tadic having a shot saved.
5:47pm: Time for the changes now as Dusan Tadic replaces Filip Djuricic four Southampton and Glen Johnson replaces Jordon Ibe for Liverpool. Can Southampton get any points out of this now?
5:46pm: GOAL! Liverpool double their lead through Raheem Sterling. Targett slips in his own area and is handed the ultimate punishment from Sterling for his mistake as the forward takes advantage and gets one past Fraser Forster.
5:39pm: Can Sturridge add to Liverpool's current tally of one shot on goal today? You'd think so. Alberto Moreno tries a cross from the left but Jordan Henderson misses to the right.
5:36pm: Victor Wanyama receives a yellow card - into the last half hour now.
5:33pm: Brendan Rodgers makes a change of his own, bringing on Sturridge for Lallana. It's clear there's no love lost between himself and the Southampton fans.
5:31pm: Southampton bring on Sadio Mane for James Ward-Prowse as they look to change things up and find that elusive equaliser.
5:26pm: Raheem Sterling is caught offside with a pass from Philippe Coutinho. Southampton currently have seven shots on goal to Liverpool's singular successful one.
5:22pm: Southampton resuming their dominant position as they clock up more chances on goal - Graziano Pelle's shot is wide to the left.
5:18pm: Let the second half begin!
5:18pm: Players are getting ready and Morgan Schneiderlin is on in plae of Steven Davis for Southampton. Alberto Moreno replaces Lazar Markovic for Liverpool.
5:02pm: And that's a wrap on the first half.
4:55pm: Simon Mignolet is keeping Liverpool in this, but only just as he runs off his line and nearly affords Southampton a goal. Just minutes left in this half.
4:59pm: Dejan Lovren is booked for a late tackle on Ward-Prowse - cue applause from the home fans.
4:56pm: Not a lot happening now - in fact the sides have had just one shot on target each. What looked like a promising game is turning into something not so exciting...
4:47pm: This weekend has brought so many un-given penalty shouts that we've lost count, and Raheem Sterling is the next to join the list of aggrieved players as he goes down in the box to Jose Fonte.
4:43pm: Rickie Lambert is warming up on the sidelines while Emre Can makes another controversial tackle on Clyne. Nothing from the ref though.
4:41pm: Now that possession is starting to even out and it's not so exciting in the process - Raheem Sterling is getting into the game and Southampton are not dominating as much as in the beginning.
4:35pm: Southampton holding the majority of possession with 65% of the ball but unable to find that much-needed equaliser.
4:29pm: The home fans are doing their very best to put off their former players, making some creative chants in the direction of Dejan Lovren and Adam Lallana. Meanwhile the hosts are looking shaky at the back as well, making for some exciting end-to-end stuff.
4:24pm: Southampton have already had four shots on goal this game and it's unlikely the side won't be scoring as they continue to break through Liverpool's defence.
4:20pm: Southampton respond almost immediately through Eljero Elia, who has a shot saved by Mignolet.
4:18pm: GOAL! Well that was quick - Philippe Coutinho puts Liverpool ahead within three minutes, finding the top left corner of the net from outside the box. An absolutely brilliant strike and Liverpool have a big advantage now.
4:18pm: Southampton had a good shot at a penalty very early on as Emre Can tackled Djuricic in the box. The ref waves it away though.
4:15pm: And we're off!
4:05pm: Southampton and Liverpool are coming up now and it's an important game for both sides with the Reds wanting to get back in the mix for Champions League qualification while the hosts are equally hoping for some top-tier European football next season.
As it stands Southampton are in fifth place on the table with a game in hand over fourth-placed Manchester United and Arsenal in third. Liverpool, meanwhile, are five points off the top four and three today would go a long way in achieving that.
3:56pm: And that's a wrap.
3:50pm: GOAL! Everton find a late equaliser but not through own of their own players, rather through Matthew Upson. It looked like it was Lukaku's goal but a slight deflection means it counts as Upson's.
3:33pm: GOAL! Leicester are in front thanks to Esteban Cambiasso. Big mistake by Tim Howard who fluffs a save and Cambiasso is there for the rebound.
3:28pm: Team line-ups for Southampton v Liverpool are as follows:
Southampton XI vs. Liverpool: Forster; Clyne, Yoshida, Fonte, Targett; Wanyama, Ward-Prowse; S. Davis, Djuricic, Elia; Pelle.
Liverpool XI vs. Southampton: Mignolet; Can, Skrtel, Lovren; Ibe, Henderson, Allen, Markovic; Lallana, Coutinho, Sterling.
3:25pm: GOAL! Good substitutions as Dave Nugent comes on and very shortly after equalises for Leicester from close range.
3:18pm: GOAL! Everton go up 1-0 thanks to Steven Naismith, who gets one past Mark Schwarzer. It's not pretty but it still counts.
2:54pm: After the first half, there hasn't been a lot of exciting news to come from Goodison Park, where both Everton and Leicester are yet to score.
2:06pm: And we have kick off for Everton and Leicester.
1:55pm: And that's a wrap. What a game! Tottenham came back from 2-0 down and looking like they would never catch up to score an equaliser in the final minute through a penalty.
1:53pm: GOAL! Kane equalises after scoring from the rebound in the 95th minute! Adrian will be kicking himself after saving that penalty...
1:53pm: PENALTY - at the last moment! Kane wins a penalty after being brought down in the box...
1:52pm: Tottenham are still pushing but Adrian is stepping up right now after his mistake in their earlier goal...
1:47pm: Five minutes of added time at White Hart Lane.
1:45pm: James Collins replaces Carlton Cole with Cole looking injured.
1:42pm: Adrian is forced to work hard now as Spurs push for an equaliser with both Kane and Soldado having shots saved by the keeper.
1:38pm: GOAL! Tottenham have their much-needed goal! This will be an interesting ending after all then. Danny Rose, who is on target from outside the area and catches Adrian out of place. It certainly shouldn't have been a goal but somehow it was. Into the last 10 minutes now.
1:36pm: Nacer Chadli comes on for Ryan Mason as Tottenham look to try and save at least a point from this...
1:32pm: Valencia is off and Jarvis is on for West Ham, and meanwhile Spurs come ever so close to equalising but as Harry Kane starts to celebrate it's ruled offside. Replays show that this is the correct call.
1:31pm: Nabil Bentaleb misses to the right and while Harry Kane has been working hard this game he hasn't been much of a threat. It doesn't look like Tottenham can save this at the moment.
1:26pm: Noble comes off for Carlton Cole.
1:24pm: And West Ham are coming now, with Valencia having a huge chance on goal that is somehow saved by Lloris. The ball was so close to the net, they could easily be 3-0 up now.
1:20pm: GOAL! West Ham double their lead through Diafra Sakho, who definitely makes up for his missed shot earlier and puts Spurs in big trouble. Some questions remain over Enner Valencia's offside position but Tottenham have once again not been on the man with their defence and Mark Noble takes advantage to get a cross to Sakho with perfect timing for the successful shot.
1:19pm: Soldado comes on for Townsend for Spurs. Can he make a difference? It seems to be more their defence that needs work at present.
1:15pm: Mason finally gets a shot on target but Tottenham's dominance is short lived as the ball goes up the other end and Diafra Sakho has an attempt saved by Lloris. That was a very big chance for Sakho.
1:13pm: Some hope for Spurs fans from OptaJoe:
15 - Spurs have recovered the joint-most points from losing positions of any team in the Premier League (15 along with Palace). Comeback?
1:10pm: After a yellow card for Aaron Cresswell for a bad foul there's a delay in the match while Enner Valencia receives treatment. Tottenham are yet to make an on-target attempt in this half.
1:04pm: Tottenham get an early corner and come close to equalising but Ryan Mason's shot is just to the left.
1:02pm: And we're back! As predicted, Christian Eriksen is on for Mousa Dembele.
12:48pm: And that's a wrap on the first half. Tottenham started dominantly but West Ham were better where it counted - in front of the net - and as the half continues Spurs' cracks started to show. An interesting second half in store.
12:46pm: Into extra time. Is Eriksen now in Pochettino's plans?
12:43pm: West Ham are starting to look the dominant side as Spurs clock up mistakes. Not long to go now and surely Pochettino will ring in the changes at half time.
12:35pm: Ryan Mason comes painstakingly close with a shot for Tottenham, but it's just off target, and so far they only have two attempts on target, the same amount as West Ham.
12:30pm: Back to the end-to-end stuff us neutrals love to see as West Ham have a real shot through Enner Valencia and then Harry Kane is on the other end mounting an attack for Spurs not long after. With the first half hour done now, Tottenham will not want to end this half behind.
12:25pm: Tottenham are known for playing dominantly one minute and then looking like they've left the park the next, but right now they are pushing for an equaliser. Danny Rose heads the ball in the direction of the net but it's too high.
12:22pm: GOAL! And West Ham have the first goal, which was definitely coming. Cheikhou Kouyate is on target with his header to put the side ahead. Spurs make a mistake with their defence, and Mousa Dembele is particularly to blame, and West Ham take full advantage of that, with Cresswell providing the assist.
12:20pm: West Ham are improving with Stewart Downing and Aaron Cresswell both mounting attacks for the side - they're chipping away at Tottenham's possession which is definitely needed as Spurs look the most like scoring right now.
12:14pm: When I said Tottenham have seen all of the ball so far I meant it - they currently hold 77% possession. West Ham all about the defence right now and with Kane up front this looks like a dangerous tactic.
12:12pm: So close! Harry Kane has a shot but it hits the bar and goes out of play. Looks like he's going to play a big part in the game yet again.
12:08pm: It might be looking stop-start but Tottenham are going for it and Nabil Bentaleb has a cracking chance which is saved by Adrian in immense style. The ball is all Spurs right now.
12:06pm: Getting a bit stop-start now with both sides looking edgy. Christian Eriksen is on the bench for Tottenham with Pochettino claiming he needs a rest after Europa League action during the week. If it continues like this for too long the attacking star may be needed on the pitch.
12:03pm: Sakho has the first shot for Tottenham but it's very high and wide. This game will no doubt be end-to-end stuff and West Ham's Cheikhou Kouyaté also goes for goal from outside the box but it's too high and never looked like going in.
12:00pm: And we're off!
11:56pm: With just minutes until kick-off now there will no doubt be some action from Harry Kane who has become Tottenham's saviour this season, going from strength to strength as he makes a serious play for a spot on the England side.
Meanwhile over at West Ham it hasn't been the most positive week with Sam Allardyce's future looking very uncertain as reports claim he will leave the club in the summer. A result against Tottenham would certainly make things a little easier for the side at the moment.
11:50pm: The line-ups for today's match are as follows:
Tottenham XI vs. West Ham: Lloris; Walker, Dier, Vertonghen, Rose; Bentaleb, Mason; Townsend, Dembele, Lamela; Kane.
West Ham XI vs. Tottenham: Adrian; Jenkinson, Reid, Tomkins, Cresswell; Song, Noble, Kouyate; Downing; Sakho, Valencia.
11:45pm: Good afternoon and welcome to IBTimes UK's coverage of Tottenham and West Ham, with both sides fighting for a win for both London pride and to keep European hopes for next season alive.
